THE CORONET

The world's finest three wheel car first appeared on the forecourts back in 1957. Created by the prolific microcar designer, David Gottleib, the Coronet was to add a touch of style to the microcar genre. Originally manufactured in Denham Bucks by Coronet Cars, production was subsequently moved to the larger James Whitson factory in West Drayton, just outside London.  

 
 

SUEZ

The nationalization of the Suez Canal by President Nasser in 1956 bought terrible fuel shortages to most of Western Europe, resulting in panic buying and rationing. This was the era of the Coronet 

   
 
     

TODAY

50 years on the Coronet is one on the most scarce and sought after microcars and has become the envy of serious microcar collectors throughout the world.
